    Hi again !!

I’m still having this issue with rendering dissolve on my timeline, FCP is putting a flash frame or video glitch when adding a rendered cross dissolve.
the footage has been converted from VOB to H.264 mov using mpeg-streamclip …is this the correct codec to use ?.
the video seems to playback fine but when a dissolve is applied the glitch happens during the transition.
it also happens when i overlay the clips and do a opacity dissolve with the pen tool after rendering.

    Any Helps Please !!

Nope. NEVER edit h.264 it is a delivery codec. Convert the footage to one of the formats listed on the easy setup list.

    **Hindsight is always 1080p**

    Thanks Zane !!

I done a bit of reasearch all saying the same thing as you, so I’m going to convert them from VOB into Quick time.mov using a Apple Dv codec. i hope this will cure the problem.

I tried to convert VOB straight to DV using mpeg streamclip but FCP has to render on the timeline to hear the Audio. Any ideas why ?

Watch my post, i’m sure I’ll have loads of Silly questions to ask over the next couple of months

    Thanks again !!
