Dear all. I have been an avid reader of this forum for a while now but this is my first post so please bare with me and my apologies if I have ended up in the wrong thread altogether.

As seems to have been the case for a lot of people I recently made the switch from FCP7 to Premiere Pro CS5.5 a few days ago.

At first, all seemed to be going very well and I was able to use my Decklink studio 2 card with no problem at all. All of a sudden, I can playback what I see in the viewer on my broadcast monitor but nothing playing on the timeline or the program monitor seems to make it to the monitor. I have checked all my settings and made sure that I am using the correct Blackmagic presets but nothing seems to do it.

On checking the playback settings on the program monitor, there doesn’t seem to be an option to output to my card. I have also made sure to be using the latest Blackmagic Drivers ( 9.3 if I’m not mistaken).

Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

All the best to you all

Are you using a Blackmagic sequence?

    Hi Richard,

Thank you for getting back to me and my apologies for not getting back to you sooner.

I did check my setting and I was indeed working off a non Blackmagic setting even though I thought I was.. That solved it.

What I am intrigued by though is why when using a non Blackmagic codec I can still preview anything in the source monitor via my blackmagic card but nothing on the program monitor makes it to the card. I assumed, probably erroneously, that if it can do one window, it should do both. Probably just expecting too much.
