Well I was in for a for sure shocker this morning. I come in to pull a key first thing this morning, and AE is having problems with the file. The plate shows up fine for a few seconds, and then shows up as a dark green solid.

My first thought is to transcode to another codec, because i know MXF files are a bit buggy. I shot it on a Canon XF305, 1920×1080, 30P @ the 50 Mbps setting. Which means it has 4:2:2 color sampling. I don’t want to loose any of this color information or give in to any compression.

Thoughts on best codec? Prores 422 (HQ) • Uncompressed YUV 10bit 4:2:2?
