  • Problems in Final Cut with my .ipr files (from Live Type)

    Hello

    so,

…I never before I had any problem with my .ipr files (Live Type file) in FCP 4.5 (not the movie but the small LT file)

I tought it was cool cause we does’nt have to render the movie before import it in FCP.

    But from now…
FCP do not want to reed it anymore

When I try to import my file, I must ask for ALL FILES in the Live Type folder and then it says:

“File Error: 1 file(s) recognized, 0 acces denied, 1 unknown.”
for only 1 file I want to import

and if I drag and drop a .ipr file in a bin of my Browser…

    -still does not work

    “File Error: Unknown file.”

hO, yes…someone told me to uninstall FCP and to re-installed it, but I think it’s not that easy to do it, and, last time I tryed, it works for a while, but I had lost some codecs that I realy need to work with…

So I will prefer another idea from you verry kind peoples 🙂

And actually I think I have’nt done anything stupid in final cut to obtain that result… but I could have done to !!??

So I would need the help of one of you…

    Tank’x

I would try making new project files, in both Final Cut and Livetype. DO Livetype first and just open the problem file there, and resave it as a different name. Then open your FCP project and save it as a different name. Then try to import the new Livetype project file. IF that doesn’t do it, I’d try trashing your FCP preferences and seeing if that works.

    “Merde”…

    I tryed for both

trashing my preferences and open brand new files
but final cut does not recognized them…

but…it doesn’t matter, I can still work with Live Type movie files
it’s just not so practical as it was !!

It’s working, but I think next time I’ll have to re-install final cut or
update it…it will be all wright.

    Tank you verry much Matt
    and
    welcome to other ideas
