Problems Importing XDcam to FCP
I am running FCP 5.1.4. I trying to use XDcam footage for the first time. I transfered all the files from the SxS XDCAM EX disc to my hard drive. I downloaded SxS Device Driver and clip Browser and restarted the computer. In FCP, I don’t see XDCAM in the Import tab which appears to be the key to importing the clips into FCP. What steps am I missing to get XDCAM as a choice to Import?

I don’t think the XDCAM EX codec is supported until one of the 6.0.x updates.

Thank you. That’s what I was afraid of. The footage was from a test shoot to see if any problems would come up in the workflow and the lack of workflow with the current system shines bright.
