I shot a music video with the HVX-200 using firestore fs-100. It was recorded in Quicktime mode, not p2 so I simply imported the quicktime clips into final cut.

It was shot 720p60 but I would like to get that slow motion effect for some of the shots. I have tried many times using the frame rate converter but it doesn’t seem to do anything, the clip still plays normal. What am I doing wrong, can’t find anything about this. Thanks!

Try making self contained QT copies of the clips that you want to slow-mo. Open those clips in Cinema Tools and conform the frame rate to your editing base rate. This process is irreversible so only use this on copies.

Thanks Matt, I tried it but the conform button is grayed out, won’t let me use it. Also tried using the frame rate converter in FCP with that new QT movie but still doesn’t do anything. It’s very weird. Any other ideas? Appreciate the help.
