Problems connecting a clip under the timeline.
I’m very happy to place sound bites under the primary timeline, and covering with video in the primary.
I’ve had some strange issues where I leave and come back to my edit and the video clip is no longer under the timeline but somehow layered on top on the primary, shuffled within the primary timeline clips. I’m not sure how to describe it.
I can’t grab and move the clip or lift it from the primary. I think that fcpx thinks it’s connected but doesn’t act like it.
I can break apart the audio and delete the video, leaving the audio, but I can’t get the video clip back in the lane below the timeline.
Anyone else run into this?
Why do I place video clips under the primary? It’s much easier to edit in the primary so I’d rather do that then create a secondary storyline. I also keep the video attached just in case I decide to put the subject back onscreen.
Looks like a bug.
