Problematic white areas in key.
Just wondering if someone might be able to give me some pointers on correcting a problem with keying some footage.
Footage is DVCPRO HD 720p60 via FCP log and transfer from p2 card data. Not sure how the footage was shot, just asked to do post (panasonic HVX200 maybe? pretty grainy footage).
I created a core matte and then layered individual keys (keylight) for my edges, masked out, etc. for each major area (hair, arms, legs, feet, etc.).
The problem is that I’m getting some areas on the talent that are showing up white and I’m at a loss as how to remove them.
The problematic areas are seemingly areas that light got through, but not enough for the camera to recognize as green (?) from the screen. Areas like between the legs, under the arm between arm & body, etc.
Source footage zooms show up as white pixels.
I’ve posted several images.
Picture 1 – key’d footage on black, white showing
Picture 3 – close up source footage
Picture 4 – close up key’d footage
This may be something pretty obvious, but I’m at a loss as to how to correct/adjust it.
I’ve searched the forums for answers, but haven’t found anything similar. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Anthony
