I was working on a project file in FCP 5 and used control-click to open an audio track in soundtrack via ‘open editor’ command. i fixed an audio problem then saved the project in soundtrack pro. i then shut down soundtrack and returned to FCP to save the file and close it. when i returned to open the project file a couple of hours later, the clip with the audio file i worked on earlier was offline. when i tried to reconnect, i got the message that the video was missing. when i tried to open the clip in quicktime, i got the message that quicktime could not open (-2048). when i tried to open the clip in FCP, i got an error message. this is HD footage and I do not have a deck so I am trying to restore the capture file.

I have a 2.7 G5 with Tiger, FCP 5 and all the most recent versions of everything.

    PLEASE HELP!!!

Does your “most recent” version include the update that was posted yesterday?
