problem with realtime effects
Posted by Tomas Daliman on July 4, 2006 at 5:38 pmHi,
I have a problem with FCP5. When I make a dissolve transition between two clips then during playback the picture jumps few lines up and goes a bit to green color. While I render it, problem dissapears.
I thougt that it’s some problem with realtime playback, but I have Quad G5, 4,5GB RAM and I am editing DVCAM (PAL) project. Is there any way how to solve this problem?Tomas Daliman replied 19 years, 10 months ago 5 Members · 8 Replies -

That’s your answer. Your dissolve wasn’t rendered.

July 4, 2006 at 8:29 pmI think that FCP might do dissolve realtime in full quality – when I’m editing with Avid or Adobe Premiere pro, basic transitions were always realtime and in full quality, even in SD resulotion. So, DVCAM due to it’s bitrate migh be a piece of cake for a machine such as quad G5… am I wrong?

July 5, 2006 at 6:45 amI don’t think you should be seeing this. Check your sequence settings. I’m not at my machine at the moment, but I think you might want to check your white/superwhite/RGB setting. Is this still an option?
