Hi, I’m having a little difficulty with the RAM Preview in AE7. I got Hold of the 30 day evaluation thingy. to try it out but the darn thing wont render more than 5 or 6 seconds of amimated backgrounds.

Am I doing something wrong? can anybody help me. I am a Total newby to all this.

The length of video that you can preview depends on how much Ram you have.
Try : Edit>Preferences>Memory&Cache> Enable Disk Cache

If you enable disk cache you can preview longer, but it would be slower, cause AE will use your Hard Drive as Cache
You can also try Shift+ 0 , which renders every 2 frame for preview

Unfortunately the real solution for this problem is getting more Ram 🙁
