I want to make a 2 minutes trailer editing from r3d clips, red one at 4 K. I am having trouble with FCP , so I am moving to AP, native reading of r3d, I started a project but the image is moving very slow. I have an imac from 2008 with 4gb of Ram. what could the problem, any settings i should mark?

    Best regards

Your machine can’t probably handle the 4K footage. Try lowering the playback resolution and see if it helps.

    yes, it´s working better now

final destination is a DVD. What type of sequence should I get 16×9 or 2×1? is it better to get the black bars now? at what part of the process to a DVD the bars are added if I edit at 2×1? sorry for this many questions, I am new to AP. When I export a sequence, the window I get is the same than encoder?

to make a DVD, what would the process? do I have to go to encoder and then encore? like in apple ,compressor and dvdsp?

    best regards

DVD’s are standard definition so it’s either PAL 720×576 25fps or NTSC 720×480 29,97fps and both with their respective 16:9 pixel aspect ratios. Premiere has presets for making MPEG2 files for DVD use.
