  • Problem with Quicktracks for PremierePro CS4

    Hi to all,

-I have this problem: two “Alert Message Window” appear after launching PremiereProCS4 project, that have the last version of Quicktracks v.3.12 (Quicktracks SDK v.3.0.9.0) installed.
    See the attached file.

-This alert messages appear also everytimes I create a export file with Adobe Media Encoder.
    It is very fastidious!

They cause serious problems to PremiereProCS4.

-Some times the main windows such “NewProject”, “OpenProject” and the windows and tabs of the application don’t display at all, with void content.
It is a display problem caused by SmartSound Quicktracks plugin!

-Furthermore, Premiere crashes immediately after creating a sound file with Quicktracks and saving it to a folder directory.

    Please response me!

    Dario Cavallo.

First, I should ask if and why you are using an SDK version of Quicktracks?

I honestly have never been able to make Quicktracks work properly with any version of Premiere. It could be that it isn’t updated often enough or that I’m just very unlucky…

I would recommend using SonicFire instead.

I have downloaded this version of Quicktracks Update:

    https://www.smartsound.com/support/updates.html?product=qxp

-“…Download the Quicktracks for Adobe Premiere update version 3.12 and Quicktracks 3.0.9.0 (20.5mb) for Premiere Pro CS4 (requires v4.1 or higher)…”:

I don’t think that this is an SDK version.
    – Why I should have a SoftwareDevelopmentKit version?

    – I use PremiereProCS4, thus I cannot use SonicFirePro instead.
Is time consuming to pass from one application to another just for the music.

I want have the advantage and comfort of the Quicktracks plugin that selects the multiple songs in PremierePro, and changes the duration of the song automatically.

I still think that this plugin went to the way side. They are pushing a plugin for FCP on their front page, but no mention of Premiere.
