Hello everyone, I have an issue that has stumped me. I have a character that was built in illustrator which i brought into AE as a composition so i would have access to all the arms, legs, etc on their separate layers. I want to use puppet warp for some of the movements with the arsms and legs, but when I animate them inside that Illustrator precomp, they don’t transfer over to my main composition unless i turn off collapse transformations, this would normally be fine but now the pre-comp isn’t vector. Is there a way i can get my puppet warp to transfer to my pre-comp and still be vector?

    Hi there,

I there a reason why you can’t apply Puppet warp to your nested comp instead of to the individual layers within it?

    cheers,

Hmmm, I guess there isn’t a reason i couldn’t apply it to my nested comp, i just wanted more control to do puppet warp on individual layers and not have it inadvertently affect parts layers I wanted to stay still or carry on their own individual animations.
