    hi,

we are using blacmagic decklink extreme card, and we have some problem about output from HD (compressor DVCPRO1080i50) to SD (betacam SP):

the video image on the tv screen are interlacing and the line image has flickering.

    just for information.
our setting on blackmagic decklink extreme preference.
    setting: – set output: SDI & HDMI & Y,R-Y, B-Y
    – set input : SDI video & SDI audio

processing: – select output processing: off
    – select input processing: off

and our audio/video setting on final cut pro:
    sequence preset:blackmagic PAL-10bit
    capture preset: blacmagic PAL-10bit
device control preset: blackmagic PAL 25Hz
    video playaback: blackmagic PAL-10bit (720×576)

    thank you for your help.

    Hi Noor,

You should be using the output processing option in the Blackmagic preferences instead of trying to put a 1080i50 into a PAL timeline in Final Cut Pro. This means using a 1080i50 project in Final Cut Pro and let our drivers handle the down conversion to PAL.

    hi kristian

it`s working. thank you very much for your help and i have question.
do we need mini converter blackmagic SDI to analog? is that make our video resolution output better or not?
