problem with outputting HD to SD use blackmagic decklink extreme
hi,
we are using blacmagic decklink extreme card, and we have some problem about output from HD (compressor DVCPRO1080i50) to SD (betacam SP):
the video image on the tv screen are interlacing and the line image has flickering.
just for information.
our setting on blackmagic decklink extreme preference.
setting: – set output: SDI & HDMI & Y,R-Y, B-Y
– set input : SDI video & SDI audioprocessing: – select output processing: off
– select input processing: offand our audio/video setting on final cut pro:
sequence preset:blackmagic PAL-10bit
capture preset: blacmagic PAL-10bit
device control preset: blackmagic PAL 25Hz
video playaback: blackmagic PAL-10bit (720×576)thank you for your help.

Hi Noor,
You should be using the output processing option in the Blackmagic preferences instead of trying to put a 1080i50 into a PAL timeline in Final Cut Pro. This means using a 1080i50 project in Final Cut Pro and let our drivers handle the down conversion to PAL.
