  • Problem with layer order for precomped Duik character rig

Hi all – long time lurker, first time poster.

I’m having some issues with a Duik rig; I’ve posted on their forums but alas, no reply as of yet.

I’ve created and autorigged a character using bones and the puppet tool that exists in a precomp, and have started some animation. The trouble I’ve come across now though is that I’d like for my character’s arms to be able to appear in front of its torso, but the autorig has automatically sent them behind.

Is it possible to rearrange the order in which these elements appear, or would I need to re-rig my character inside of the precomp in order to get the flexibility needed to rearrange the layer order?

    Thanks!

Solved it – wanted to post my solution just in case anyone else comes across the issue.

Basically I was looking it as a Duik issue as opposed to a puppet tool issue; it can be easily corrected by using the Puppet Overlap tool to change the way the layers sit over each other.

    Thanks anyway all!
