I am in the beginning of looking at whether it’s feasible to export audio from FCPX and master the sound in Logic Pro X, primarily so that I can use a DAW controller instead of the mouse.

I have an existing project, all edited and sound mixed in FCPX so thought that would be a good starting point. I selected the compound clip with the audio edits in, across three roles, and created the FCPX XML, went to logic and imported it. It appears to have done it, but some clips that were muted in FCPX are now unmuted, some clips are at different time locations, and other clips that weren’t muted are now muted. Some envelopes also appear to me different. It’s a complete shambles.

I am hoping that I am doing something really stupid. Anyone got any advice on this?
