    Hi.
I’m totally new to Sony Vegas. I’m using Sony Vegas Pro 8.0.
Everytime I try to add some text to the video, I start out with the sample text (like everyone does.) but somehow I can’t edit the text! When you get it into your timeline you’re supposed to be able to just edit the text but there’s nothing with me…
Just a keyframe, with a keysize and more of that… but I can’t edit the text.

I hope I don’t sound too vague here and I really hope someone can help me out. Because the text is one of the things I’m needing for my project! Thanks!

The timeline area in that dialog is resizable. It sounds like you’re is resized to fill the whole dialog. Just move your mouse slowly toward the top of the dialog. As soon as it turns into an up/down arrow, click and drag downward to resize the timeline area smaller.
