Problem with echo effect on matted pictures / films
Hey Dudes. I’m working right now on an Echo effect on a Picture. I tried in in Tga tiff and pgn.
I just want to move it from left to right a thousend times by using the echo effect, so i created keyframes for position and added echo but theres no success with any file. The echo doesnt match to the transparent picture. I also tried it with greenskin. i rendered picture in front of green background to have a .mov and imported it again! I keyed it but there was no success anyway.
Does it only work on Motion Pictures?
That would be bad, has anyone an idea of creating a filmroll look like speed effekt ( thats what it should be 🙂 )

You can’t echo a layer’s animation. It doesn’t work that way. Echo looks at frames of video to create the effect. A lyer’s animation is just a still image being moves around.
However – it CAN be done!
Pre-compose all animation, and then bring that comp into a new comp (in other words, nest it in a new comp). Then apply the echo effect to the nested comp.
