problem with dv out
Dear All,
I cannot beleive it!!!
I had to show a client some work and my video out on my panasonic monitor failed.
We had to do with the apple display output.
I work on 4.5HD
First, I thought it was the firewire cable that snapped.
But it recognises my AGDX100 and it worked fine on log and capture and on the i movie. And I have swuitched the camera as usual on playback mode.
Then I thought it could be related to a recent update I had done. This is when the problem started: after the update.
In the audio video SETTINGS menu it says “[Missing] Apple Firewire PAL 720 X 576”
Please help.

This seems to be the answer to many of these kind of problems.
And, always have your DV device connected via FW and turned on BEFORE you start FCP.

Thanks for helping out: however, the thrashing of those Quicktime components did not help out.
Do you thing that Quick time 7 is not compatible with FCP HD (4.5)?
