    Hi all,

I’m using Premiere for the my third edited piece after switching from Final Cut Pro. I’ve consistently/inconsistently (as in I consistently have this problem sometimes) had a problem with clips not accepting an effect. Like a simple cross dissolve. It just won’t lay in. It’s not that there’s not enough lead in for the dissolve. The section I’m using is from the middle of a pretty long master clip. Plenty of lead in and out. The clip this time will accept the effect at the end, just not at the beginning.

It’s frustrating! I’ve tried copying and pasting attributes. No luck.

The footage is from a Canon 5d Mark II, imported and edited natively on a MacbookPro Intel Core i7, 16 mg ram, OS 10.8.4, using Premiere Pro CS6.

Any ideas what the problem is, would be greatly appreciated.
