Problem with capturing video
I am logging and capturing footage off mini-DV. Most times no problems at all, but one tape which seems to be playing fine on the camera is aborting every few seconds and telling me there may be a problem with the tape. Is there anything I can do, and if not on my system, is there any way I can transfer the footage, as I have to have it somehow?

IS there any way you can dub your bad” tape and try capturing from the new tape? I assume it is playing but FCP just doesn’t like it? I know broken timecode is a nightmare and this is what I used to do when I encountered this… before we went tapeless.

Thanks for that. I guess it’s the only way forward – now I’ll just have to work out how to do that!
