Problem viewing a DVCPro Tape recorded on a AJ-1700
We are increasingly having problems viewing DVCPro tapes on our AJ-HD130 deck sent to us by one of our clients. They are generally recording on AJ-1700s. Our deck shows an Error E-08 and a green splash page. We have no problems with tapes shot on Varicams or tapes recorded on our deck. Only clip tapes from our clients decks.
Does anyone have any information about the incompatibility of our older deck versus newer decks? Is there a way to remedy this problem with our deck?

The newer decks + HDX900 camera record narrower, 9 micron wide, video tracks. Your 130 deck records 18 micron wide video tracks and won’t play tapes with the narrower video tracks. Newer decks will play both track widths.
