  • Problem re-linking footage in Premiere CC

Posted by Jim Maclaren on March 12, 2014 at 1:26 pm

I’ve recently upgraded to Premiere CC from CS6. I’m noticing that with a few projects I’ve done in the past that I have to update now, when I bring the projects back on and opening them in CC and after re-linking the footage, some clips are missing footage. Has anyone experienced this? I get those diagonal lines that basically say there’s not footage at those timecodes. But there is, since I’ve edited with them.

    Hi Jim,

When you relink footage, make sure you check the “Preserve interpret footage settings” box on the right side.

Other than that, I can’t think of any reasons other than missing codec or corrupted file.
