  Problem previewing media in Log & Capture

  I’m new to Final Cut Pro HD 4.5 and have struck a glitch. When trying to log media from my camera, a Panasonic GS120, the preview I get in the log & capture window fragments horizontally, creating jagged edges around the figures within the frame. After capture the footage plays perfectly in the Canvas window. The footage is fine in the camera’s viewer as well. Have tried different tapes and freshly shot footage without any improvement and I’ve checked that the sequence and capture presets match up. Any ideas on what’s going on? I’m running a MAC OSX 10.3.9 Powerbook G4, CPU speed 1.25GHz, 512 MB and there’s 40 GB of available space on the hard disc drive. Any advice appreciated. Cheers.
