Problem my Nattress filter set in FC
Hi everyone,
I’m having a weird problem when color correcting my documentary in FC. I’m using the Nattress filter set of Film Effects (V2.5.2) and it works fine for all the movie clips and some of the photos. But for some photos it’s giving me a hard time. If I add filters or try to paste attributes (filters) from one photo to another, it’ll make the photo disappear. Not in all photos.. just some (can’t find anything different in the ones that don’t work). The photo is still in the timeline.. it just doens’t show, you just see the track under it.
Does anyone know why this may be happening?

Export the photo as a self contained QT movie. Reimport that, replace the photo in the timeline, then use the filter.

I have only seen that sort of behaviour once an it was a still with huge resolution (something like 4000 x 3000 pixels). I resized it to something sensible and the disappearing act stopped.
I don’t think it is a function of the type of plugin, but just FCP not managing any sort of plugin with that resolution. If you have a move on the still, then Shane’s idea of making a QT file is best.
