Problem Moving project from Mac to PC
Hi, my mac has gone down, but luckily I did an export from Resolve at the end of lest session. I have moved media to PC drive (using HFSExporter) and imported the project into R10 (it was originally R9 but have R10 on PC).
I have managed to get resolve to see most of the clips (changing Source Felder) but there are some I just cant get working. There are XDCAM 35 clips (I seems to be getting audio but no video).
Any ideas what is going on,

Yep. Probably compression method does not play in your win ?

I’m not.
Have been dealing with different editors on BM DL cards with mac and pc and they
can be affected of the files used.Yo should have more universal file format for seamless usage on multiple os.

You should try out “Calibrated [Q] MP4-EX” by Calibrated Software.
It is essentially a tool that allows you to rewrap the XDCAM-EX files so it can be read by DaVinci Resolve. The tool is crude but it works. If you are dealing with 100s or 1000s of clips it is a real chore to do the rewrap process.
Not sure why Sony and BM did not work together on this. Possibly Sony was focused on their new acquisition format, XAVC, at the time for their F5/55 cameras.
EDIT:
You also have to install the XD Decode software module as well with the MP4-EX module for it to work.
I did an update this morning to the most current version to see if the software workflow has improved over time. Still the same. Primitive but it works.
