Problem: Most of video rendering as only the last frame.
Hello,
I’ve searched the internet far and wide and have come up with nothing. I hope the fine people here may be able to help, or at least point me in the right direction.
Long story short, I use a Dazzle capture card and Windows Media Encoder to record video straight off my Xbox. However, whenever I try to render a video that contains one of these captured video files it will render fine for anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes and then the entire video stream is just the last frame of the video while the audio remains normal and other video layers render without problems.
I’m really lost here and could use some help. Thanks

It seems odd that it would render fine for a while and then freeze. I assume the file plays back fine on the timeline? Make sure your version of Vegas is at the latest update level (you didn’t say what version you were using). I assume you are capturing to WMV format? Can the Dazzle capture to AVI? Perhaps DV or MJPEG? You may have to re-encode these files to a format that is friendlier to edit with Vegas (just thinking out loud here).
