Problem: linking to XDCAM folder – no files found
Hi
[The problem in short: can not link to folder with XDCAM .mp4. Linking to a file works.]
I am on a newly installed Media Composer 8.4.1 connected to an ISIS. I just downloaded the latest plugin at https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/pdzk-ma2
Linking: When I select a file and “(*.mp4)” it works. When I select a folder and “(Folder)” – no clips are found.
– YES, I am selecting the folder above the BPAV.
– NO, there are no spaces or special characters in the folders path.
– IN FACT, I also have .mxf in different folders and linking to those works.Also, why do I only see “Link” in my settings and not “AMA”? Did they change this?
I would greatly appreciate any help!

Yes, they changed the terminology to LINK. Same function, different name.

Try alt dragging the folder into an open bin in avid. You should get the little curved arrow icon before you release. This is another way of linking items in avid.
