I appear to be loosing a substantial amount of quality and resolution in both the composition window and the render. The source is a 792×528 tif sequence, which looks much better when double-clicked in the project pane and viewed from a footage window. The source pixels are square. I’m interpreting them square and viewing them as such in the comp window. My resolution is set to full. The quality is set to best in the timeline.

    The render looks no better.

Any advice? Should I compress the tif sequence into something else? If so, what? And with which software?

    Thanks – S.

If the quality loss is evident in your comp panel but perfect in the footage panel then something is probably wrong with your comp setup.

    What are your comp settings?
