Problem importing file from 16mm telecine
I had the telecine deliver my footage on a hard drive as .mov files. When played in Quicktime, they look fine, but when imported into FCP every 4th and 5th frame in a 5 frame cycle has extreme interlace judder. Anyone know how to fix this?

That is the 3/2 pulldown. Your footage was telecined and captured at 30fps, right?

Yes 29.97fps. It looks fine playing in QT but not FCP, is there a way to fix that??

How does it look on an external monitor attached to your machine? It that looks fine, and the QT looks fine, the clip is fine.
Dunno why it looks any different in FCP than in QT. Without seeing it I cant’ really say what might need adjusting.
