Problem Exporting Movie from Premiere Pro CS4

Hello,

I’m writing from Athens – Greece.
I’m facing a problem exporting my movie from Premiere Pro CS4.

Here how the problem goes…

In Greece we have PAL system with 25 fps.

I have a Canon HD camcorder and I shot a movie in 1440×1080 25fps (1,333 pix.rate).

I’ve created a sequence in Premiere Pro CS4 in 1440×1080 25fps anamorphic High Quality preset. To this sequence I added some titles, music, graphics and photos. I wanted to export my movie in a format with high quality (HD if possible) in order to play it to my DVD Home Cinema system, through Adobe Media Encoder.

Although I matched the inserted footage settings with the sequence settings, I’m getting the “red bar” on the timeline sequence panel.

I tried to export it in H.264 format with the following specifications:
PAL, 1440x1080i 25fps High Quality, VBR2 pass, Widescreen 16:9 (1,333 ratio), MP4 Multiplexing

The result was a frame by frame movement with a little blur.

Then I tried to export it in H.264 Blu Ray format with the following specifications:
PAL, 1440×1080 25fps High Quality, VBR2 pass, Widescreen 16:9 (1,333 ratio), TS Multiplexing

The result was the same. A frame by frame movement with a little blur.

I also tried QuickTime with JPEG format and one more time as MPEG-2 Blu-Ray with PAL, 1440×1080 25fps High Quality, VBR2 pass, Widescreen 16:9 (1,333 ratio), TS Multiplexing. The result was not a satisfying one. Again with a frame by frame movement with a little blur.

When I export a partial footage directly from the “Project” panel in H.264, the result is perfect. But it’s not my sequence…

I’m afraid that I’m doing something wrong with the settings and I’ll never get the result I want…

Is there anyone or any way you can help me?

There are so many variables here.

25p with motion in the camera movements will result in motion blur.

If you are trying to create a Bluray, use the Bluray presets.

If you want a digital file, use the Vimeo/YouTube presets.

If you want a DVD, use the DVD presets.

Thanks for your answer Chris.

That’s what I already wrote.
The variables I wrote before, are actually presets…
What I want is to export the movie in an HD format (PAL), in order to burn a normal DVD, but close to HD quality, via Nero or Ashampoo, for home entertainment.
My needs are very specific, i think. Any ideas?

DVD is NOT HD, it is not Near HD.

There is DVD (standard-definition)

There is Bluray (high-definition)

Then there are digital files which can fall anywhere in between, to be played back off a computer hard drive.
