Thanks for the answer. I’m not sure what you mean by locating the tutorial in a ‘temporary’ file. Where might I find that? And can I save them to video CD from there?

I seem to have the most problems with the AE tutorials. Sometimes I can’t get them started and other times I can, but then they only play back intermittently. In other words the picture sticks and the voice is broken up. Perhaps I need more processor speed on my internet computer (mine is only 650MHz/100FSB CPU.)

Some of video tutorials are .mov files, some are in flash (.swf or .flv files). I suppose you don’t have problem to download .mov files, but flash files. I also had problem with downloading flash video tutorials (.swf or .flv files). I used several programs for downloading flash, but always downloaded just empty frame. Well, solution is very simple. If you are using Windows and Internet Explorer for viewing web pages, you have them in Temporary Internet Files. Temporary Internet Files is folder on your harddisk, where you have stored recent viewed internet pages (including flash files). They can have 40-50 megabytes, so it could take some time they appear in this folder (depends on speed of your internet connection). Of course, if you are using Internet Explorer and Windows.:-))
When you have these files on harddisk, you can burn them wherever you want.:-))

For the past couple of days I have been trying the methods outlined. I tried opening the video tutorial (it ran intermittently) then located the ‘temporary’ files under internet tools and settings, but for whatever reason I cannot open the temporary file properly. I saved them to a misc. folder and also to the CD burner, but to no avail. A couple of times I was able to get audio by using my VLC media player. The sound was fine, but no picture.

I even downloaded Adobe Flash 9 (a couple of times) but that does not seem to work. The download sites says I’ve downloaded the program, but I can’t find it anywhere on my computer. Can’t figure that one out.

Thanks for any further tips. I really would like to have these infomrative tutorials.

Regarding the problem of playing back the COW video tutorials…I think I’ve narrowed the problem down to the tutorial FLV files. None of my players want to accept them (Irfanview, VLC, Quicktime, Windows Media Player, Flash 8 player etc.) Actually, I should say they do open and play, but ONLY in a veru intermittent, jerky fashion (both video & audio.) However, as I noted earlier the tutorial WILL play back okay ONLY in my VLC player. Can someone tell me WHICH player I actually need to play back the COW video tutorials properly (both Video & Audio?)

And, I’ve still had no luck transferring the tutorials to CD-R,for posterity. even using the Temporary Internet Files as Jerry kindly suggested. I keep running into an error message saying the player cannot open the FLV files. Very frustrating and I’m sure the answer is a simple one.
