Problem downloading QT to a new PC” installation package cannot be opened”
Brand new Dell desktop PC – downloaded Adobe Creative Cloud no problem. Only need to install Quicktime to get rolling in Premiere– but every time I try and install QT I get a message saying “installation package cannot be opened”.
Googled around and only consistent fix/idea I have seen regarded making sure all windows updates were done (check) and making sure I had the latest windows installer from Msft (check).
Also tried VLC player but it wouldn’t play my ProRes files.
Then I tried downloading ITunes and I get the same message. So it seems to be hanging up on Apple software only. Looked through history and didn’t find anyone with same issue on Creative Cow.
Unfortunately in this case I have to use a PC.
Anyone know a solution?

This was solved by logging in as new user. Go figure.
