We moved a server with a Proavio Ultrastore RS16SS head unit and three JBOD chassis attached to it.

Our data center provider made an error in the power calculations and there was not enough power in the rack so the Ultrastore did not come online correctly. We resolved the power issue, but now the head unit boots without seeing any of its own drives, only 1 of the three JBOD chassis and no drives in the JBOD chassis.

We have an LSI SAS 9000-8e.

When we boot with just the head unit, it comes up fine.

Any ideas of what might be wrong? Is there a way to force the Ultrastore to re-read or rebuild its configuration without destroying the volumes and data?

I would look at the disc utility in os x, if you are on a Mac. If the drives show up there, but are not mounted, you should try something like Disc Warrior to repair the discs directory, they are usually screwed up at power interruptions.

    All the best
