Pro Drive problem
Not precisely an FCP question, but have any of you tried a Pro Drive from Simple Tech? I just got a 1TB yesterday in hopes of cloning my system drive to it so I could install Panther. The drive partitioned and formatted okay, and went through the several hour clone process, only to end with an error message that there was some error on that drive. It LOOKED like it had all the files on it, and the pic files I tried to open opened fine, though a little slow. I used the e-SATA cable, and it was smelling a little hot at the end of the process last night.
I’m going to re-format and re-try the clone, but hope to hear from anyone if maybe i would just be better off to take this drive back and get another LaCIe…
