any pitfalls to look out for using the pro 35 with the varicam? i have used the pro 35 on our SDX 900’s and really like the look. is there anything i should know about using them on the varicam? i know some might suggest the digi primes and i did look into that route…however the rental company did not have them and i really like the shallow depth of field the primes give me.

    any thoughts welcomed

    Jamie:

Nothing really that different over the SDX, EXCEPT you must be careful if you’re shooting any offspeed footage. Check in the VF or better an external monitor for a beat or interaction of the camera’s acquisition frame rate and the spinning ground glass screen. Adjust if necessary to avoid “freezing” the glass grain pattern.

    Good shooting!
