Printing to Video from 24p footage from the Panasonic DVX-100
Hi Everyone,
The problem that I seem to be having when printing to video from a 23.98 or 29.97 timeline is that it looks fine when I’m playing it on the computer to the DVD deck (showing the footage on the NTSC Monitor), but when I play it back, I seem to have a ‘ghosting effect’ as if the frames are bleeding into each other. I tried pasting the entire timeline into a 29.97 sequence, and rendering it, but that didn’t help.
I am using Final Cut Pro 4.5 HD, Macintosh G5, OS X. The footage is being recorded onto master grade mini-dv tapes from panasonic. The original footage was filmed on the DVX-100 in the 24p mode (with letterboxing), I can’t remember if it was the advanced. the playback I believe is in the 2:3:3:2 pulldown mode.
Anyone?
Thanks in advance 🙂
Steven
