printing to tape via firewire to Sony DVCam decks
It has been months and we cannot figure out why we cannot print to tape on 3 of our four dvcam decks.
We can get deck control for capture but not print to tape.
Our decks are the DSR11, DSR 20, DSR 45, and DSR 1800A. Surely someone out there has a similar issue and may have solved it

I know that some of those decks won’t do controlled print to tape. It’s the deck not FCP. they were that way on my discreet edit systems. I thought the 1800 might. Not sure on that one.
Non-linear: all the time and nothing but.

Does it help to know they work just fine with Sony Vegas all versions? We’ve used Vegas for years and just migrated to FCP. What is odd is that the cheapest/oldest deck is the only one that works.
