    printing to tape on HVX

    Is it possible to print to tape on the HVX200 using final cut? I would think since it can act as a deck for digitizing, it could act as a deck for writing to tape as well, but I haven’t been able to get it to work.

    I tried several different modes, and the 1394 on/off setting is solely for using the hvx as an on the fly analog to digital converter.

    Any help would be great – I have to run commercials off onto tape every now and then and I don’t want to buy a deck just for that.

    Yes you can do it. Did you remember to move the P2/TAPE switch to TAPE mode?

    Yes…I did put the switch on tape…I have your book and read through that as well…I’ll keep trying. I must be missing something minor.
