I will try and keep this as short and concise as possible, any help would be greatly apprecciated!

Friday I am showing a film at a local theatre. I plan to print video to a tape and connect my Sony HVR m15 deck to his projector (checking that out today) and playing the film that way.

    My questions are:
The audio crew that did my sound did a great job, but a few spots need help. They cannot make these changes before friday, so, in one part, the music is too low, can I just link up the song like I had it in my mix and output it to tape, or will that mess up the stereo mix they made?

I notice the audio mix comes in in the high greens on the FCP mixer, seems low to me, but is that how its supposed to be? These guys are suppossedly really good and mix for skywalker sound.

Thanks for any help, and any hints on printing to video would be appreciated as well!

    Thanks,

    Jesus

If you add a music track to the mix, it is likely that you will create a tiny but noticeable phase difference. Not at all recommended, especially if you are using Dolby Surround decoding.

Not sure what actual value high green is but mixing for cinema or broadcast doesn’t have level that peak close to 0 dbfs. Their levels are likely to be correct. Don’t muck around with them as there may be peaks that you will distort.
