Having trouble printing a completed project to dv tape. Had this probelm before and tried to figure it out but didn’t really need it…now I do. Client wants a copy of project on DV tape. I go to tools, print to dv tape, dv template for ntscdv, manual control, finish, it renders then asks to connect device and click on ok….I do that, and keep getting “error occurred while creating media file. error 0x8007001f (message missing)”. What am I doing wrong? Thanks…oh, vegas version 4, plenty of memory and hard drive space available. MIchael.

on my camcorder, it has to be set to a certain setting in oder to record video from the computer. maybe when your computer trys to send the video over the firewire, your camcorder isnt ready and so the computer doesnt know what to do.
i find it odd that it asks to connect device after the render and everything, why isnt your camcorder connected and set up before you do print to tape?

[Michael O’Connor] “plenty of memory and hard drive space available”

Make sure you check available space on the Temp directory as well.

I didn’t know you needed to set it up before rendering. I tried that just now but it didn’t help. I haven’t seen any special set up buttons or screen prompts for printing to tape, I’ll keep looking. Thanks for the input. Michael.

Thanks for the idea Gary. I checked and we’re ok there too. Still no luck. I’ll keep trying to find special settings on camcorder to see if that’s where I’m going wrong unless you have any other ideas? Michael.

I got it! It was in the internal settings off the screen. Thanks for the idea. Michael.

Thanks for the help. I got it done. It was in the internal settings off of my camcorder screen that needed to be changed. As always Gary I appreciate the input. Michael.
