Printing HVX200 (P2) footage to DVCAM tape

DISCLAIMER: Anyone who has the patience and fortitude to see this through is a Saint. Supreme thanks to everyone in advance for your time and energy.
I have a 107-minute feature that I need to print to DVcam tape.
The feature was shot on the HVX200 at 720/24pN, 16×9.
I’d like to print an Anamorphic tape so that it is stretched when projected.
I do not have a KONA card.Software:
Final Cut Pro 6.0.2Hardware:
I have a JVC BR-DV3000 deck
connected via FireWire to my PowerPC G5 desktop computer.
*Please see my signature for computer specs.*The sequence setting for the HD sequence are as follows:
Frame Size: 960 x 720
Aspect Ratio: HD(960×720)(16:9)
Pixel Aspect Ratio: HD(960×720)
Anamorphic 16:9: NO
Editing Timebase: 23.98
Compressor: DVCPRO HD 720p60I export a Self-Contained QuickTime movie.
I then import that QT movie back into FCP.
I drop the QT movie into a sequence with the following settings:
Frame Size: 720 x 480
Aspect Ratio: NTSC DV (3:2)
Pixel Aspect Ratio: NTSC CCIR601 / DV (720×480)
Anamorphic 16:9: YES
Editing Timebase: 23.98
Compressor: Uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2I then export a Self-Contained QT movie from this SD sequence.
I then import that QT movie back into FCP and drop it into it’s own sequence. I allow it to create it’s own sequence settings. The results are:
Frame Size: 720 x 480
Aspect Ratio: NTSC DV (3:2)
Pixel Aspect Ratio: NTSC CCIR601 / DV (720×480)
Anamorphic 16:9: NO (this is the only change)
Editing Timebase: 23.98
Compressor: Uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2From this sequence, I tried to print to DVcam tape. My initial efforts have been failures. I’ve tried three different methods. Here are the failed results for each.
a.) Print to Video
I get the following message when select this function: File > Print to Video:
“The selected audio and video devices may not match: -Digital Cinema Desktop Preview -Default Please verify that the audio and video outputs are externally routed to the intended device(s). Do you want to Proceed?”
So, I select [OK].
I choose my leader elements: 10-seconds of Color Bars, 5-seconds of Black. I add 5-seconds of Black Trailer. I set it to Print In to Out, and I set it to Automatically Start Recording. I click [OK].
A dialogue box pops up: “Ready to for playback, click OK to start recording media onto deck.” I click [OK].
The JVC deck begins to record (The green Play LED light and the red REC light come on). The Color Bars and Tone come up on the screen. After 3-seconds of Bars, the JVC deck stops recording. The PLAY and REC lights go out and the REC INH. light blinks red once. The movie continues to play, but it is not recorded to tape.
b.) Edit to Tape
I drag my sequence to the [Edit to Tape] box in the video tab and set it to [Assemble]. And I get the following error message:
Unable to perform edit operation. Please set a valid In Point and try again.”
I then set the In Point to be: 01:00:00 and it defaults to 01:00:02.
I drag the sequence again to [Assemble] and I get the following message:
“The selected audio and video devices may not match: -Digital Cinema Desktop Preview -Default Please verify that the audio and video outputs are externally routed to the intended device(s). Do you want to Proceed?”
So, I select [OK].
A dialogue box pops up: “Ready to for playback, click OK to start recording media onto deck.” I click [OK].
After a few seconds, I get the following message:
“The timecode appears to be missing from the tape. Please verify that the tape is timecoded correctly.”
c.) Print from Timeline
If I try to manually press PLAY and RECORD on the deck, the REC INH. light blinks red, disallowing that operation.

Choose the DV/NTSC EASY SETUP…sounds like you are viewing out via DIGITAL CINEMA PREVIEW, and not outputting via firewire.

Hi All,
I get the same message “The timecode appears to be missing from the tape. Please verify that the tape is timecoded correctly.”
but I am trying to edit to tape from a DV 16:9, to a GV-HD700 on to Mini DV tape.. Every time i try to assemble, it fast forwards the tape, then stops and gives me this message “The timecode appears to be missing from the tape. Please verify that the tape is timecoded correctly.”
Can anyone help.
