Ok Guys here its is. I am used to doing 4:3 to tape for TX but have never done 16:9. The project was edited in FCP 6 in DV 16:9 ( anamorphic ) SO I want to know, do I just print to tape slap in a DV and dump it and send it to be converted to Betacam or is there a process that I need to do before I ‘just dump it’.

Also I assume the broadcaster will just play the tape and it will be 16:9. Never done this one ?? Some insight would be good from those who produce in 16:9 for television TX

All SD is 4:3 aspect. 16:9 is achieved by anamorphic squeeze and then stretch on display.

So print/ edit to tape the anamorphic timeline and all is well. Broadcasters, in my experience, always want the program anamorphic, not letterboxed, but check your deliverables to make sure.
