    Hi,
I do not normally use InDesign nor do I normally dive into print world period but there was a need and I am trying to meet it. I am using CS on Mac OSX.3 and have a finished trifold brochure. My graphic files are .jpg’s, and a few .ai files. When the preflight arrived at the printer (local Office Max, clients choosing), the .ai files were printing as solid blocks and the transparencies were showing up with white boxes around them. I basically had a feather around them prepared in Photoshop before importing them into Indesign. So I tried making a pdf of the brochure to see if that solved anything and I still cannot get the transparencies to print correctly. Looks great on the screen, no go on the print. What’s the deal with not correctly printing the .ai files first of all, secondly, what the heck does one have to do to get transparencies to print correctly? This is why I stay in video world. This is driving me crazy and all help is extremely appreciated!!!!!
