We shot a commercial in HD, the sequence is HD 1280 1080, Here is my problem when I am trying to output the spot to DVCpro50 the graphics are not crisp and clear (de-pixilated) I have tried nesting thing in a NTSC 720×486 sequence and no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

What format of HD? HDV? DVCPRO HD? AVCIntra? AVCHD? HDCAM? HDCAM SR? D5? RED?

Outputting the spot to DVCPRO50? Why not let the capture card handle the downconvert? Or do you not have one? Letting FCP handle the render and downcovert is not good…Compressor and the ADVANCED CONVERSION options are better.

AND…are you judging the quality of this footage on the computer monitors, or external broadcast monitor? Never judge using the computer monitors.
