Print to tape for 16:9 encoding
I have a client that has a DVD project that has been edited in 16:9 in Premiere Pro 2. The final product needs to be 16:9 DVD. The problem is when he exports to tape it is already letterboxed which tells me its a 4:3 tape. If it was 16:9 it should appear stretched vertically with no black bars, so when I encode in 16:9 it will stretch it back out horizontally. My question: Is there a setting in premiere pro that will allow you to export a 16:9 timeline to tape that looks stretched top to bottom. Does it need to be exported in 4:3?
Sorry I’m not to savy with Premiere (Avid user!)
Thanks in advance,
Luke
