    I’m using a Sony PD170 and Vegas 5
    I have 4 clips
I want to alter these 4 clips
Then print the individual 4 clips to tape
When I re-capture all 4 come in as 1 clip
Is there any way of printing these 4 to tape as 4 individual clips ?
    Any Ideas ?

Not sure I understand exactly. There’s an option in capture to create a new clip each time the camera was stopped and re-started (assuming the clock is set on the camera.) The option is called “Scene Detection” and is on by default.

Since it captured it all at once, you can drop the whole thing on the timeline and just press “S” to split the clip into multiple pieces. Unsure what you mean by “printing these 4 to tape as 4 individual clips”. You mean you want each clip on a separate tape? If yes, just delete the pieces you don’t want on this tape after you’ve split out the sections.

Or, you can use the trimmer and only drag the section you want to the timeline.
