  Preview using additional monitor

  Hey guys,

  I am setting up an external computer monitor and then using the Cinema Desktop Preview function in order to preview my editing. When working with HDV footage it’s fine as it has to be scaled down in order to fit on the display. However when working with standard definition DV lower field first the output on the monitor looks shocking as you can see the fields. Short of running it through my video camera and hooking an external display to it (which I don’t have any in 16×9 plus the additional space required to have two separate external displays) is there any way of having the preview computer monitor work without displaying fields and, thus, a better option for previewing the output?
