Preview Screen Problems in Vegas
I am having trouble with my vegas when trying to watch imported movies. Whenever I import them, the video itself gets squished to fill half of the preview screen. And is stuck like that. Yet when I open the exact same media file in VLC Media Player, it players full screen just perfectly. The files in question are AVI format. They were converted from .FLV. Yet as before stated still play fine OUTSIDE of Vegas. What do I do?

The term avi is just a container, which can contain many types of avi, XVID, DVIX ect. there’s a free converter you can try and convert it to a type of avi Vegas can work with. Here’s a link to that freeware.
